Vice President of Retail

Our client is a well-established, member-focused credit union with a strong community presence and a growing network of retail branches. As they continue to invest in their people and their growth, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Retail to lead their branch network and help shape the future direction of the organization.ResponsibilitiesLead all retail branch operations across a multi-location network, ensuring consistent execution of service standards, sales performance, and operational efficiencyDevelop and implement long and short-term strategic objectives, business plans, and budgets for the retail divisionCoach, develop, and hold accountable a team of branch managers and directors; monitor performance through regular branch visits and formal and informal feedbackDrive a strong sales culture by setting goals, tracking loan pipelines, measuring results, and administering incentive programsEnsure all branches maintain compliance with federal regulations and internal policies, including preparation for NCUA and internal auditsOversee staffing and workforce planning, including proactive recruitment of top talent to support branch needsPartner with executive and cross-functional leadership teams to align retail strategy with broader organizational goalsReview and distribute performance reports covering operations, productivity, member service metrics, and sales activityManage the retail department budget, including expense controls for strategic initiatives and travelSkills & RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a multi-branch credit union or banking environmentProven track record of managing managers and leading high-performing retail teamsStrong background in sales management, including goal setting, performance measurement, and incentive compensationFamiliarity with federal regulatory requirements including BSA, OFAC, AML, and NCUA compliance standardsExcellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain talent in a competitive marketBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferredProficiency in standard business software including Excel and Word
