DescriptionOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer consultant with strong expertise in enterprise integration, AWS cloud technologies, and database development. This Consultant will play a key role in designing and implementing data pipelines that bridge multiple source systems, contributing immediately upon onboarding. The Consultant will work closely with the IT Development team and business stakeholders to build scalable integration solutions using Spring Boot, Apache Camel, and AWS services (ECS, S3, SQS). Additionally, the role involves enhancing existing applications, developing front-end interfaces, optimizing database performance for high-volume workloads, and collaborating with architects on technology evaluations and best practices.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnhance existing applications using Java 17/21 and Spring BootInteract with Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQLDevelop new front end pages with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAXEnhance existing front ends using Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS and AJAXWrite thorough, correct unit tests using JUnit and MockitoDeploy code using JenkinsInteract with end users to determine requirementsDesign data pipelines to extract, transform, and bridge data from multiple source systems into formats required by downstream applicationsDeploy containerized applications on AWS ECS with Fargate and utilize S3 for object storage and SQS for asynchronous message processingDesign and optimize database schemas with partitioning strategies for high-volume tables (10M rows) in Oracle or PostgreSQLBuild integration adapters using Apache Camel for message routing, transformation, and orchestration across messaging systems (AMQ/JMS/SQS)Collaborate with architects on technology evaluations, document integration designs, and mentor team members on Spring Boot and AWS best practicesMinimum RequirementsBachelor's DegreeStrong proficiency in Java 17/21 and Spring MVCExperience working with Oracle databasesExperience building front ends using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAXExperience writing Unit tests with JUnit and MockitoExcellent communication skills, highly adaptable and resilient under pressureIndependent worker able to clear their own blocksExperience with Apache Camel for enterprise integration patterns and JMS/ActiveMQ for asynchronous messagingHands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, and SQSStrong SQL skills with experience in Oracle or PostgreSQL database development (PL/SQL or PL/pgSQL)Experience optimizing database performance including partitioning and indexing strategies for high-volume tablesUnderstanding of RESTful API design and microservices architectureExperience with Thymeleaf or similar server-side templating enginesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines using JenkinsPython scripting experience for data processing and file manipulationKnowledge of Spring Batch for batch processingSince 1995, iTech Solutions Inc., has been providing IT Consulting and Direct Hire Services to the Insurance, Financial, Communications, Manufacturing and Government sectors with local offices in Connecticut, Minnesota, Colorado, Massachusetts, Tennessee, North Carolina, and New Jersey / Pennsylvania area.Our recruiting strategy is simple, if you want to find qualified IT professionals then use IT professionals to find them.
