Accounts Payable Specialist

A highly successful and expanding commercial property management firm known for its strong portfolio of assets, operational excellence, and collaborative culture is looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to add to their team.The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Accounting function by managing the end-to-end accounts payable process across a commercial property portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with property managers, vendors, and the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.Strong communication skills are essential, as this role requires regular interaction with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Experience working in the real estate industry and utilizing Yardi or MRI software is required.Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:- Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently using Yardi- Perform invoice coding and ensure expenses are allocated to the correct properties and cost centers- Review and reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies- Coordinate payment runs and ensure timely vendor payments- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and respond to payment inquiries- Collaborate with property managers to verify and approve invoices- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable- Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation- Support process improvements within the AP function- Assist the Accounting team with ad-hoc accounting tasks as neededAccounts Payable Specialist Requirements:- 3+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience within the real estate industry- Experience with either Yardi or MRI property management software- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferredIf this position is of interest please apply, alternatively if you would like to discuss your job search and other Accounting & Finance opportunities please email your resume to Paul Gould, Managing Partner: paul.gould@nextlevelresources.netNext Level Resources, Inc. is a professional staffing firm dedicated to finding exceptional Accounting and Finance talent on a permanent and consultant/interim basis for clients throughout San Diego County.
