Individuals with interest and preparation to serve as Department Chair are encouraged to apply. Hiring rank will be based on experience and accomplishments. We are seeking student-centered individuals with a passion for teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful applicants will have demonstrated evidence of effective teaching in physiology content areas at the university or medical school level.The selected candidate will support Burrell College's organizational health initiatives, focusing on enhancing leadership, promoting clarity of purpose, improving communication, and reinforcing a respectful, purpose-driven culture. This role is key to fostering a healthy, high-performing organization that values integrity, transparency, and collaboration.Examples of DutiesInstruct first- and second-year osteopathic medical studentsDevelop board-style (COMLEX/USMLE) exam questionsParticipate in student interviews, advising, and mentoringContribute to curricular development, implementation, and assessmentProvide service to the institution, community, and professionEngage in scholarly activitiesPerform other duties as assignedPositions are fully funded and report directly to the Chair of the Department of Physiology and Pathology.
