Electronics Lab Technician

PDC Facilities, Inc. is a leader in the design/build of relocatable diagnostic imaging buildings, fixed-site MRI suite environments, and patient experience products that has been in the MRI business since its mainstream availability in the 1980s. We are currently seeking a strong candidate to join our team as an Electronics Lab Technician. Support engineering by building, testing, calibrating, programming, and troubleshooting electrical systems and prototypes. Utilizing oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal couples, programmers, etc. to ensure functionality, quality, and safety. Document results, procedures, and maintain lab organization and inventory for product development or research. Working from schematics, perform diagnostics, make board-level repairs, and collaborate with engineers on improvements, requiring strong problem-solving and hands-on skills. Key Responsibilities: Setup & Maintenance: Configure and maintain lab equipment (power supplies, signal generators) and ensure a safe, organized environment Prototyping: Assemble and build electrical systems, PCB assemblies, wire harnesses, and test fixtures for new products Testing & Analysis: Conduct electrical tests (voltage, current), perform diagnostics, analyze performance and troubleshoot issues Documentation: Accurately record test data, prepare reports, and maintain detailed records Support: Assist engineers with experiments, research, product development, and provide technical insight. Preform incoming inspection on PCB(s) manufactured for production Repair & Upgrades: Troubleshoot faults, repair electronic equipment, and perform software/hardware upgrades Inventory: Manage stock of parts and components, and order replacements Essential Skills & Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals Proficiency with lab tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons) Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and hands-on skills Attention to detail for accurate data recording and safety compliance Good communication while working with engineers and staff High proficiency with soldering and familiar with IPC-610 standards Starting Salary: $60-75K depending on experience and certifications Negotiable for the right candidate Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Home Office - Hartland, WI (no remote) *If interested, please email us your resume at pdcbiz@pdcbiz.com www.pdcbiz.com PDC Facilities, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
