Job Description Job Title: Skilled Construction Laborer & Equipment Operator (Residential & Commercial Projects)Location: on-siteJob Type: Full-TimePay: From $15.00 per hourJob Summary:We are seeking a versatile and experienced Skilled Construction Laborer & Equipment Operator to support both commercial and residential construction projects, including renovations and new builds. This role combines hands-on labor, equipment operation, and carpentry support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of producing final grade in excavation work, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep projects moving efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, and backhoes for site development and material handlingPerform precise excavation work, including final grading to meet project specifications and elevationsAssist with commercial and residential construction projects, including renovations, additions, and new constructionSupport basic carpentry tasks such as framing, formwork, and demolition as neededAssist with manual labor as needed, including digging, trench cleanup, site preparation, material handling, and other ground-level tasks when not operating equipmentPrepare and maintain job sites, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety complianceRead and follow blueprints, grade stakes, and project plansConduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenanceWork closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on scheduleAdhere to all safety standards and regulations at all timesQualifications:Proven experience in construction, including both labor and equipment operationDemonstrated ability to perform final grade work in excavationExperience in commercial and residential construction, including renovationsBasic carpentry knowledge (framing, measuring, cutting, etc.)Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment safely and efficientlyValid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)Strong understanding of construction safety practicesAbility to read blueprints, grade stakes, and measurementsStrong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindsetPreferred Skills:Experience with GPS or laser grading systemsMechanical or equipment maintenance experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularlyAbility to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periodsFrequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and liftingComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsWork Environment:Mix of commercial job sites and residential propertiesIndoor and outdoor work, especially during renovation projectsExposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipmentWhy Join Us:Steady, year-round workVariety of projects — no two jobs are the sameOvertime opportunitiesSupportive crew and solid work environmentReady to Get Started?If you're reliable, skilled, and ready to work, apply today and become part of a crew that takes pride in building things the right way.Company Description East Coast Contractors, is the commercial services division of Outdoor Tranquility, LLC.
