We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with experience working in a treatment environment supporting individuals diagnosed with a chronic mental illness (ex: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD). As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be part of an amazing team of Behavioral Health Service Providers, Rehab Specialists, Therapists and Psychiatrists providing the highest level of outpatient treatment to this underserved population. Other qualifications, certifications, degrees including AA, BA earns you more $$ so let us know! – preferredGreat attitude - requiredExperience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferredExperience passing medications - desiredYour ResponsibilitiesYour role as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, therapists, rehab specialists and direct care staff to assist clients who are stepping down from higher levels of care into an open residential setting. As an LVN, you will work directly with clients who have stepped down after successfully completing treatment in inpatient treatment settings. You will help clients further stabilize on and adhere to their medication regimen while helping teach coping skills to help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations and stabilize housing. The goal is to see clients through their individual recovery process and to celebrate graduations from treatment back to home counties, families, and friends.This position is not responsible for daily administration of PO meds. As an LVN you will be:Keeping track of client's injection schedule and administering as scheduledProviding medication education and support individually and in facilitated groupsProviding individual and group rehabilitation servicesProviding case managementConducting risk assessmentsProviding crisis intervention servicesReviewing MARS weekly and monthly to review progress with clientsParticipating in multidisciplinary team meetings weeklyProviding therapeutic support and redirection through verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques—we are not a "hands on" facilityProviding behavioral Interventions like properly setting boundaries and providing redirection and supportProviding at least 28 hours of face-to-face services per weekDocumenting services daily using an electronic health recordHelping clients safely access the communityHave ideas or skills that would help our clients?
