A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:\nRN - Stepdown\n\nJob Details:\n• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n• Up to 2 weekends per month required\n• Holiday coverage required\n• Float to Medical/Surgical units as patient volume requires\n• 5:1 patient to RN ratio with goal of 4:1\n• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients occasionally\n• Average daily census is 20-24 patients with 24 total beds\n• 2 years of nursing experience required\n• 2+ years of travel experience required\n• Recent EPIC EMR experience and proficiency required\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all must be AHA certified)\n• Skills required: Telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management (no titration), oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions\n• North Carolina license or multistate license required\n• Dress code: All navy or all white scrubs\n• Blocked scheduling may be considered if requested upfront but not guaranteed\n• Must reside at least 40 miles from facility\n\nFacility:\nThis medical center operates a progressive care unit (PCU) and telemetry department providing intermediate-level care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and specialized nursing attention.
