Job Description Craftsmen Contractors is seeking experienced Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics for the Barstow, Texas area. This is for an ongoing new construction commercial project working day shifts, Monday through Friday, and possibly some weekends. Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.Sheet Metal Mechanic pay rate: $27/hour$100/day per diem is offered for those who qualify.Weekly pay by direct deposit.Job DutiesFabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints.Operate machinery such as shears, brakes, and plasma cutters to shape metal components.Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.Troubleshoot issues that arise during the fabrication process and implement effective solutions.Utilize an ohmmeter for electrical testing as needed in specific projects.Job RequirementsProven experience as a Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanic - 2 years preferred.Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.Commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.Complete an online and on-site safety orientation.If you meet the above requirements and are available and interested, please respond to this job ad with your resume.Company DescriptionCraftsmen Contractors is a skilled staffing contractor that has helped customers complete projects on time since 2010.
