Job Description:JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Interventional Cardiology Physician • Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time • Location: Goodyear, AZ • Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient • Schedule: Monday – Friday, with limited weekend call (1:3 rotation) • On-Call Expectations: ER call up to 4 days per month (single hospital coverage) • Start Date: Between May 2025 and August 2025PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE • Patient Demographics: Adult and Geriatric populations • Average Daily Volume / Census: Variable based on inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic volume • Admissions & Rounding: Included (inpatient rounding responsibilities shared across team) • Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes, inpatient and outpatient consults expected • Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Coronary artery disease, heart failure, interventional procedures (angioplasty, stenting), diagnostic catheterizationFACILITY & TEAM DETAILS • Advanced Cardiovascular Center – inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup: 24/7 cardiology and surgical support available • Support Staff: 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing and cath lab support staff • Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to the Medical Director of Cardiology • Reason for Opening: Growth in patient volume and service expansionCREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE • Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 daysCOMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS ​• Base Salary: $700,000 guaranteed base for the first year plus productivity bonus • Incentive Bonus Structure: Productivity-based model following initial guarantee period • Relocation Assistance: Available and negotiable • Partnership Track: Offered following initial employment period • CME Allowance: 1 week CME + reimbursement provided • PTO & Holidays: 4 weeks PTO + 5 sick days annually • Health & Retirement Benefits:• Medical, Dental, Vision (start day one)• 401(k) with employer match• Life & Disability Coverage• Malpractice Insurance (with Tail coverage if applicable)REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Board Status: BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology (Board Certification within 5 years of residency required) • State License Required: Active Arizona medical license (or eligibility to obtain) • Active DEA Certififcation • Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA issued) • Experience: Completion of 1-year Interventional Cardiology fellowship; vascular skills a plus • Additional Requirements: Proficiency with EKG, echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear medicine stress, catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement • Visa Sponsorship: J-1 Visa eligible (H-1B not available) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care in collaboration with existing physician and APP team • Perform interventional procedures including diagnostic heart catheterizations, angioplasty, and coronary stent placements • Interpret noninvasive studies including EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular imaging • Participate in call coverage and weekend rounding as scheduled • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing departmental growthCOMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS • About the Area: Goodyear, Arizona is a growing suburb of the Phoenix metropolitan area known for its warm climate, community-focused neighborhoods, and access to outdoor recreation • Local Attractions: Hiking, golf, art festivals, MLB spring training facilities, and nearby desert trails • School System: Excellent public and charter school options, with top-rated districts nearby • Housing: Affordable suburban housing with access to new developments and family-friendly amenities • Demographic & Professional Profile: Popular with families and professionals working in healthcare and technology sectors • Nearby Cities: 30 minutes from Phoenix and Scottsdale • Nearest Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport • Distance from Airport: Approximately 30 miles – 35 minutes by car
