Director of Sales North America/Canada (m/f/d)

As the Director of Sales North America / Canada, you will be responsible for leading and executing our sales strategy across the North America & Canada region. You will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth within the bioprocessing sector. You will also lead and develop our sales team. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a strong sense of business development, a deep understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, strong industry connections, and a proven track record of delivering regional sales growth.Your responsibilities1. Sales Strategy and ExecutionDevelop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand market share in alignment with corporate strategy.Set regional pricing strategies based on competitive pricing insights.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including biopharma companies, CDMOs, and research institutions.Drive sales of aseptic filling and freeze & thaw portfolios, including equipment and consumables.2. Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.Drive recruiting, selection, and onboarding of suitable candidates.Develop a Go To Market strategy & business plan for the region.3. Market InsightsIdentify customer trends, needs, and competitive insights to refine go-to-market approaches.Provide feedback on competitor pricing and behavior to influence product development and marketing strategies.4. Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Integrated Solutions on non-standard technical solutions.Collaborate with Marketing and Strategy teams on regional growth initiatives.Ensure seamless handover of customer projects into Operations.Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer experience.5. Reporting and MetricsOwn the regional budget and performance KPIs including order intake and annual revenue.Prepare and present forecasts, account updates, and management reports.Maintain accurate pipeline and sales performance records in CRM systems.Understand the business funnel to identify short, mid and long term actions driven through clearly set milestone achievementsYour profileMaster’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.7–10 years of sales experience in the bioprocessing industry.Proven experience selling equipment and/or consumables into GMP and non-GMP environments.Strong industry network preferred.Good CRM experienceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
