Job DescriptionGHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: ED - Emergency DepartmentDiscipline: RNStart Date: 06/08/2026Duration: 1 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelEstimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2337.64\n\nOpportunity:\nUnit Notes:Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends send to manager for approval to offer\n\nJob Details:\n• Work 12-hour night shifts with 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks\n• Holiday schedule based on unit coverage needs\n• Float between 4 facilities: St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale (facilities approximately 30 minutes apart, may float mid-shift)\n• Must have own vehicle for travel between facilities\n• Minimum 2 years emergency room experience required\n• Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS\n• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN (ENPC not allowed to replace PALS)\n• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed, if failed cannot work for 6 months)\n• Pass/fail exam required on day 1 of orientation\n• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail requirement)\n• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio\n• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry monitors\n• Navy scrubs required\n• Natural hair color required, no facial piercings allowed\n• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing\n• 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation\n• Handle trauma cases, chest pain patients, and spinal cord injuries (trauma, burns, and pediatric patients transferred out)\n• Facility sees 88,000 patients per year, 250-300 per day with 30-40 psychiatric holds\n\nFacility:\nThis healthcare organization operates a Level 1 Trauma Center with a comprehensive emergency department featuring 36 acute beds and 54 subacute beds, along with 6 trauma bays. The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, with a pharmacist available in the ER for 10 hours daily. The emergency department is supported by multiple physicians, mid-level providers, and anesthesia services, and holds certifications for chest pain center and spinal cord traumatic brain injury care.
