Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Host/Host to join our dynamic hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional dining experience. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to delivering top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and promptly seat them in a clean and organized manner.
- Manage reservations, take phone calls, and assist with special requests.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including the host stand, tables, and restrooms.
- Assist servers with drink orders and help to ensure that guests have everything they need.
- Offer helpful recommendations to guests regarding our menu and wine list.
- Provide assistance to other staff members as needed, including helping to deliver food to tables.
- Demonstrate a positive and welcoming attitude to all guests and team members.
Requirements
- Experience in the food service industry, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
.- Familiarity with Opentable reservation systems.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to clearly articulate menu items and specials.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- A friendly and helpful attitude, with a commitment to providing outstanding guest services.
- Experience in a guest services or guest relations role is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
