We're building our company for long term success and aim to build the ultimate place to work if you're passionate about AI and positive impact.About the RoleWe seek a full stack Software Engineer to help us deliver for clients and invest in our platform. You'll be one of the first full time engineers and will have an enormous impact on all aspects of what we do.Some of our client projects are enterprise-style and some are fast innovation cycles. Over time, we'll be investing more in our own platform to accelerate client value.You'll join a company founded by experienced, successful veterans in climate and AI. The team brings exceptional expertise from Microsoft, AI2, ARM, acquired startups, and even a major utility, including PhDs, published ML researchers, and former industry executives.What you will doYou will work on software projects in client engagements, and over time, internal platform capabilities.You will:Turn ambiguous client problems into shipping code.Drive projects from discovery to deploymentCollaborate with client and internal project teamsDesign and write clean, scalable code at appropriate quality standards (sometimes "right", and sometimes "right now").Integrate and productize AI capabilities (analytical models, GenAI, digital twins...).Collaborate across disciplinesAdvocate for engineering best practices and positive dev cultureCore Qualifications - Technical and foundationalAble to independently and efficiently build features in TypeScript/React and backend APIs (Python/FastAPI or Express/Deno)5+ years of experience with demonstrated technical leadership experienceAdept at clarifying ambiguity and proposing good solutionsChampion for quality (no broken windows)Experience with cloud native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)Able to use AI dev tools maturelyProficiency in full-stack fundamentalsE.g., Front/back-end tech, databases, debugging, tests, SDLC, GitCore engineering concepts (e.g., concurrency, memoization, caching, etc)Degree in CompSci, related field, or equivalent experienceExcellent communication skills with internal and client contactsValues and Culture QualificationsHigh emotional intelligence and a learning mindsetStrong collaboration skillsEnjoy others' success and a fun, positive environment.Comfortable making decisions in the face of ambiguity and course correcting as needed.Bonus Qualifications (not required but a huge plus)Experience in both startup and enterprise environmentsPast work in energy, real estate, utilities, climate or related fieldsBonus if you have experience and passion in one or more ofAdditional web frameworks (e.g. Svelte, Vue, Angular)Lower-level languages e.g. C++, RustNetworking paradigms e.g. GraphQL, WebsocketsML capabilities e.g. Sk-learn, xgboost, Pytorch/Tensorflow/JAX, Onnx...Additional database types such as graph or vector databasesDevOps e.g. CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi and/or BicepGenerative AI e.g. prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, tooling ecosystemCompensation & benefitsCompetitive early-stage startup compensation (based on capabilities, experience, and location)Bonus eligibilityHealth insurance with meaningful coverage for dependentsFlexible paid time offEquityFully remote culture with a cluster of teammates in SeattleTraining and learning opportunitiesBe part of a fast-growing, profitable, mission-driven company with industry leading clients tackling the massive opportunity of AI transformation in critical industriesLogisticsRemote but only USA/CanadaMust be willing to travel to Seattle area for final interview and travel 2x/year for company summitsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.Next steps
