Construction Manager, Utilities, Road & Vertical Construction Projects

Job Description We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee utility, roads and vertical construction projects across the AUS campus. This role will support both new construction and renovation efforts, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, regulatory standards, and stakeholder expectations.Minimum QualificationsMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on vertical building projectsDemonstrated aviation-related construction experience, including work on or around airport terminals and improvement projectsAbility to successfully pass a TSA criminal background checkStrong understanding of environmental codes and regulatory requirements relevant to airport constructionProficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and SharePointFamiliarity with building codes and standards, and ability to interpret design documents and contract specificationsValid Driver's LicenseKey ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all phases of vertical construction within concourse and terminal areas, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory standardsCoordinate daily activities with contractors and a broad range of stakeholders, including the ABIA executive team, Airlines, Operations, and Environmental teamsReview and evaluate contractor schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or delaysSupport the change management process by assessing proposed changes and facilitating necessary approvalsNavigate and interpret design documents, technical specifications, and contract requirements with accuracy and confidenceEnsure construction activities meet minimum code requirements and quality standardsCommunicate effectively across teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentumParticipate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making and issue resolutionProvide field oversight and documentation, including daily inspection reports and tracking of deficienciesCollaborate with inspectors and project managers to verify installed quantities and support pay application reviewsBe available for occasional night-time work as required by project schedules or operational needsTechnical Proficiency• Bluebeam• Microsoft Office Suite• Procore• SharePoint• Primavera P6Our highly competitive salary/benefit package includes employer paid medical and dental insurance; 401(k) with a dollar for dollar match up to 4%; UNLIMITED paid leave and 70+ hours of paid holidays.
