Director of Finance and Human ResourcesThis is a hands-on leadership role for a proactive, business-minded professional who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and helping a professional services firm grow.We are seeking someone who takes ownership, improves processes, and supports accountability while working closely with firm leadership.This role plays a key part in strengthening the firm's internal infrastructure as we continue to grow.Position OverviewThe Director of Finance and HR will be responsible for the firm's internal financial operations, reporting, and HR administration.This is a hands-on position. The right candidate must be comfortable both executing day-to-day responsibilities and thinking strategically about improvements.You will work directly with the firm's partners and leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial LeadershipOwn the firm's monthly internal financial statementsManage the billing workflow, including final release of invoices to clientsManage accounts receivable, WIP, realization, and collectionsProcess payroll and manage accounts payable, including Bill.comManage cash flow forecasting and banking relationshipsPrepare and present monthly financial reporting to partnersMonitor and help improve key firm KPIsIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvementsStrengthen internal financial controls and reporting systemsHuman Resources LeadershipServe as the firm's primary HR contactLead onboarding and offboarding processesOversee benefits administration and annual renewalsMaintain HR compliance and employee documentationCoordinate the firm's performance review processAddress employee performance concerns and related documentationEnforce firm policies and expectationsWork with fractional HR support when neededSkills and CompetenciesStrong accounting and financial reporting skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)Experience managing accounts receivable and cash flowExperience with HR administration and benefits oversightStrong problem-solving and process improvement mindsetComfortable learning and implementing new systems and technologyStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with leadershipAbility to handle confidential matters professionallyQualifications7-15 years of accounting experienceExperience in a professional services firm preferredStrong experience with financial reporting and cash flow managementBusiness-minded and growth-orientedComfortable working independently and holding others accountableAbility to communicate effectively with partners, staff, and vendorsCPA preferred but not requiredEducation:Bachelor's (Required)
