Civil Construction Superintendent

Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Civil Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on civil, highway and road construction projects. This individual will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining schedules, and delivering high-quality results that meet project specifications and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage field crews on highway and road construction projectsOversee grading, paving, drainage, utilities, structural concrete, and related civil scopesCoordinate daily work plans and ensure productivity goals are metWork closely with Project Managers and Engineers to maintain schedules and budgetsEnforce company safety policies and ensure full OSHA complianceManage subcontractors and vendors on-siteReview plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate executionEnsure quality control standards are consistently upheldMinimum QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience leading a construction team as a Foreman or Superintendent on civil highway and road projectsProven experience managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple work scopesStrong knowledge of DOT standards, roadway construction methods, and heavy civil best practicesAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsDemonstrated ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred Certifications & CredentialsOSHA 30-Hour Construction CertificationValid driver's license with clean driving recordHeavy equipment operation background (preferred)Experience with GPS machine control and grade control systems (preferred)What They OfferCompetitive compensation DOEHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceLong-term career growth opportunities
