Electrical Panel Shop Lead

The Panel Shop Team Lead position requires running the day to day operations of the panel shop as well as the wiring of electronic components, electrical panels and devices. Use of small hand tools, ability to read a tape measure. Reports to Subassembly Foreman.Responsibilities:Oversee high volume panel shop projectsFinal quality control for the panel shop and signing off on QA paperworkAssign tasks for panel shop workersKeep track of consumables, parts and shop folders. Inform foreman when issues arise.Keep panel shop organized and tidyWiring electrical control panels efficiently in a high volume production settingReading and interpreting electrical schematics and B.O.M./drawings, engineering prints/specifications, and/or verbal/written instructionsResponsible for laying out, machining, populating and wiring of electrical control enclosuresAssembly of mechanical, and/or pneumatic components as required.Use common hand tools, drill, taps, saws, knockout punches, and multi-meter.Verify work performed by checking continuity or simulated functional test to determine proper component circuitry that meets operational requirementsMay require operation of forklift, if so training will be providedAdditional duties as assignedRequirements:Must have experience using the skills mentioned aboveExperience in wiring electrical controls panels, UL 508A experience is a plus.Read and interpret schematics and electrical specifications as required.Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits, including single and three-phase motor control, PLC terminology/function and basic knowledge of measuring instruments and meters.The ability to work with and understand electromechanical functionalityKnowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations.Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion.Strong computer skills. Capable of working with all Microsoft Office applicationsStrong time management and organization skills.
