Roaster Operator - Night Shift

We are looking for a unique blend of technical precision and industrial muscle. This isn't just a machine-tending job; it's a Process Control role. As our Roaster, you are the heartbeat of the production line-responsible for the color, moisture, and quality of every batch that leaves our facility. If you are someone who can navigate a computer interface to adjust airflow one minute and safely maneuver a 2,000 lb. sack on a forklift the next, we want to talk to you. The Day-to-Day: Precision Calibration: Set up, calibrate, and monitor roasting equipment to ensure consistent operation. You'll manage the "Big Three": Temperature, Belt Speed, and Bed Depth. The Flow Master: Maintain a steady flow of peanuts from storage bins into the roaster. You'll verify product types and ensure zero bottlenecks in the production stream. Technical Troubleshooting: Monitor HMI screens and equipment gauges. When a jam or temperature spike occurs, you are the first line of defense to perform minor adjustments and keep us running. Heavy-Duty Operations: You'll be responsible for the high-precision task of hanging 2,000 lb. sacks between poles in the air using a forklift. The Deep Clean: Once a month, the team shifts to "Maintenance Mode." You'll join the cleaning crew for a two-day, day-shift shutdown to perform deep-level sanitation and equipment resets. What We're Looking For: Tech-Savvy Mindset: You are comfortable monitoring computer screens, analyzing data points like dwell time and moisture levels, and navigating digital SOPs. Advanced Forklift Skills: Moving standard pallets is one thing-hanging massive, flexible bulk bags in tight spaces requires a high level of spatial awareness and safety. Quick on Your Feet: This is a fast-paced environment. You need to prioritize tasks effectively and be ready to unload trailers or jump into general labor tasks as needed. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and store products, and participate in intensive monthly cleaning shutdowns. Requirements: Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (Food/Chemical/Thermal processing preferred). Demonstrated proficiency with industrial machinery and computerized controls (SCADA/HMI). Solid forklift experience with heavy loads (2,000 lbs+). Ability to follow strict SOPs and Quality Control standards. Pass Background & Drug Test
