This individual helps maintain the physical integrity, safety, and presentation of the resort, with a primary focus on condominium residences and support for Lodge hotel rooms and public spaces.This role is essential to delivering a seamless luxury guest experience - ensuring every space is fully functional, meticulously maintained, and guest-ready at all times. The Maintenance Engineer works behind the scenes and in guest-facing moments to uphold the Forbes standard of effortless excellence.WHAT YOU'LL DOOperational ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance duties across the resort including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairsRespond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requestsTroubleshoot and repair HVAC, lighting, appliance, and in-room functionality issuesComplete daily inspections of assigned areas to proactively identify maintenance needsMonitor and report unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions and take immediate corrective actionAssist with snow removal, groundskeeping, and seasonal projects as neededSupport preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate work order documentationCollaborate closely with Housekeeping, Guest Services, Security, and other departments to resolve issues quickly and discreetlyForbes Service & Presentation StandardsEnsure guest spaces are fully functional, pristine, quiet, and free of visible defects before guest arrivalEnter guest areas with discretion, professionalism, and respect for guest privacyCommunicate clearly and courteously when interacting with guests, demonstrating calm confidence and ownershipAnticipate maintenance needs by identifying early signs of wear, damage, or guest inconvenienceProtect the aesthetic integrity of the resort by completing repairs that meet appearance and craftsmanship standardsShift & Team SupportWork independently while maintaining strong communication with team leadsKeep work areas, tools, carts, and storage spaces clean, organized, and presentation-readyProvide backup coverage for other shifts or urgent situationsUphold a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvementRequirementsATTENTION TO DETAIL IN ACTIONAt Chetola, attention to detail means noticing what others might miss and resolving it before it impacts the guest experience.
