Nonprofit Internship Opportunity: Branding & MarketingOrganization: Great Plains Welsh Heritage Centre, Wymore, NebraskaPosition: Branding and Marketing InternLocation: RemoteType: Part-time, UnpaidOrganization Profile:The Great Plains Welsh Heritage Centre, in Wymore, Nebraska, is the only cultural resource in the Great Plains region dedicated to interpreting the legacy of Welsh immigrants. A 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are home to a museum and archive preserving historic artifacts and documents as well as the records of Welsh organizations from across North America. We are currently undertaking a $100K+ capital campaign to complete the expansion of our exhibit space. To learn more, visit greatplainswelsh.org.Position SummaryWe are looking for a branding and marketing intern to assist in refining our brand identity, developing campaigns, and managing our online presence. This part-time remote position is unpaid. The intern should be prepared to work directly with our part-time director to execute real campaigns and will finish the internship having gained hands-on experience in various aspects of branding and marketing.Responsibilities:• Create social media content, assist with website updates and design promotional materials to ensure brand consistency• Manage and update social media accounts with engaging content focused on Welsh culture and the museum collection• Assist with brainstorming, pitching, and executing marketing campaigns including our $100K+ fundraising campaign• Track social media performance Learning Outcomes:• Gain experience working with a nonprofit cultural organization• Demonstrate multi-channel communication skills including oral, written and digital• Develop a portfolio of real work• Understand the integration of social media, branding, and content marketingCandidate Qualifications• Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Graphic Design or related field• Strong writing and communication skills• Proficiency in social media platforms and graphic design platforms such as Canva• Willingness to incorporate cultural artifacts and original historic images into marketing materialsApplication InstructionsCandidates should email a resume and cover letter to hwebber@mac.com
