Keene, NH area: Part-time, 10 hours per weekMonadnock Developmental Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Part Time DSP position in the Keene, NH area. 10 hours per week during the hours of: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.Direct Support Professional ResponsibilitiesSupport individuals in their communities to lead fully included lives; such as: shopping, money management, physical activities, socializing, safety concerns and redirectionSupport the strengths, gifts and potential of individuals with disabilitiesAid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goalsDirect Support Professional Requirementssupport individuals out in the communityguidance with healthy meal choicesassist with meal preparationassist and guidance with household chorestransportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programscontinued support and development of individual's monthly goalsmaintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progressmanage and redirect challenging behaviors by using position behavior support**Training will be provided in all applicable areas for each program**Direct Support Professional Minimum Qualifications Includea sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment.Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.Pre-employment Background Check Requirements: Criminal records, motor vehicle record, Bureau of Adult and Aging Services (BAAS), Division of Child, Youth and Families (DCYF), Office of Inspector General (OIG)
