Position Type: School Service Staff/Fundraising Coordinator Date Posted: 5/7/2026 Location: Mother Teresa Catholic Academy Title: Fundraising Coordinator School: Mother Teresa Catholic Academy, Crete, IL Reports To: Principal Position: Part-Time, Unbenefited, 10-15 hours weekly (Maximum of 29 hours) ResponsibilitiesUpdate Fundraising information yearlyPost announcements to FACTS and share with familiesSchedule all fundraisers planned for the school yearRecruit volunteers for each fundraiserCreate and share a Fundraising Google Spreadsheet for each familyUpdate after each fundraiser and be sure parents are meeting their commitmentsShare information with the business manager to add unmet amount to FACTS tuition as necessaryShare fundraiser information with all school families via email, text, and Facebook cCreate content to share fundraising information with the parish bulletin. MTCA Annual Raffle Collection in November and FebruaryUpdate parent informational flyerOrder and organize raffle tickets and have them ready to pass out to parents at Back to School NightCollect money on the two collection daysCount money and figure out if parents have met their commitment; if they have not, share with bookkeeper so they can add the outstanding amount to FACTSContact the parents frequently reminding them of due datesWith the Spring Event mailing, raffle tickets are also mailed to the Parishioners. Walkathon - OctoberUpdate Walkathon packet and create Get Movin Fund Hub online Walkathon Site; send the information out to parents and keep sharing with them; collect cash payments and apply that amount to the online Walkathon site; prepare prizes and have them ready to be handed out by the principal. Double Good Popcorn - JanuaryCreate fundraisers; update forms; and share with families. Butter Braid - FebruaryCoordinate fundraiser dates, update forms, and share with families, collect money, request check, coordinate parent order pick-up. Spring Event/Silent Auction - March These must be complete before the final fundraising balances are added to FACTS tuition. These numbers should be given to the bookkeeper no later than April 1st. Mail donation and sponsorship request letters, create invitations, coordinate having mailing sent out. Ask parents to help fold and mail invitations. Plan event. Secure alcohol license and raffle license from the Village of Crete and the State of Illinois, DJ, Photobooth, food etc. Create signs for use at the event. Order supplies needed for the event. Set up, work at the event, and clean up. The silent auction requires setting up the online Charity Auction Today online auction site. Getting donations for baskets from MTCA families and outside businesses. QualificationsSupport the mission, philosophy, objectives and policies of the Church and the Diocese of JolietHigh school diploma required, associated degree or higher preferredMinimum 2-5 years' experience in fundraising and/or administrative assistantExcellent verbal and written communication skills, collaboration, and organizational skills are necessary; must work well with othersAbility to organize, prioritize, and have focus/attention to detailKnowledge of Google Docs and Microsoft Office products is requiredExperience with the FACTS school application would be beneficial Salary & Benefits $20.00 per hour with paid personal leave days.
