This position will also help customers understand how Lgg Industrial can provide solutions to their business needs.Responsibilities:Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures, both at Lgg Industrial and customer facilitiesEnsure product stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes to help maintain accurate inventory levelsMake deliveries of products from the local branch to the customer locations using either a company van or a box truckReceive and stock purchased product in designated customer locationsResolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyaltyHelp create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needsIdentify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle timeProbe for customer needs during each site visit and works with sales partners to expand company offeringsImplement scanning tools in designated customer sites, where neededSpend approximately 60% of time servicing customers in the field at customer sitesServe as the liaison between the Sales Representative, Branch and the customerEnters orders into ERPPerform other duties as trained and qualified forSkills and abilities:Customer service focused and sales growth orientedCollaboration and problem-solving skillsHandle different technical and operational issuesAbility to communicate effectively with the customer, customer service reps and account reps in a professional manner, both oral and writtenMust be able to work independentlyGood computer skills are a must. Applicants should possess the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional mannerRequires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.Minimum qualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderA high school diploma or equivalentMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordReliable transportation is a mustAbility to work overtime, as requiredAbility to work nights and weekends, as required1-2 years of warehousing or production experience in an industrial setting3 years' experience in selling or service environmentInventory control experience is requiredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Experience with VMI is highly desiredThe ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis.Background checks, drug screening may be required (as warranted by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment)Physical requirements and work environment:This role includes a mix of office, warehouse, and customer site environments. Warehouse and customer site environments may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions such as noise, temperature changes, or dust. The office environment may require using standard office equipment (such as computers, phones, and printers).
