ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering analyses including circuit analysis, design reviews, safety compliance investigations, code reviews, and reliability/failure analyses for electrical/electronic and computer systemsLeverage deep expertise in electrical engineering, physics, or related fields to solve complex technical problemsPrepare technical proposals, pursue business development, and supervise/manage laboratory testingPresent technical results to diverse audiences via verbal, written, and interactive communicationExpand Exponent’s software-related services and contribute to client-facing solutions
Key requirementsPh.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related fieldHands-on laboratory experience in electronics, power systems, semiconductor fabrication/characterization, optics, renewable energy, or related areasExperience with at least one programming language (Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or similar)Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teamsAbility to gather information and convey conclusions to engineering, business, and related stakeholdersInterest in working with a broad range of devices and systems across hardware/software domainsAbility to support multiple projects and market the EE&CSE PracticeEligible to work in the United States without sponsorshipStrong communication and presentation abilitiesIndependent and collaborative work styleAdaptability across multidisciplinary teamsCircuit analysisSafety compliance investigationsCode reviews
