For more information, please visit www.chaosinc.com.Role Overview:The Senior Supply Chain Procurement Planner will lead the development and execution of procurement and material planning activities to support radar defense programs and upcoming government-defined contracts. This role is ideal for a hands-on supply chain professional who has worked within FAR/DFARS-regulated environments and is comfortable establishing compliant processes in a startup setting.This position will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and compliance readiness as the company transitions from commercial development to government contracting.Responsibilities: Procurement & Material PlanningDevelop and execute procurement and material planning strategies aligned with product development, production schedules, and future government program requirementsManage long lead-time components, prototype-to-production transitions, and evolving bills of materialCreate and manage purchase orders, supplier schedules, and delivery commitmentsCollaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and leadership teamsGovernment Contract Readiness & ComplianceEstablish procurement processes compliant with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and contract flow-down requirementsSupport preparation for government audits, reviews, and compliance assessmentsAssist leadership with supply chain inputs for proposals, bids, and contract negotiationsDevelop documentation, policies, and controls required for government-defined contractsSupplier Development & ManagementIdentify, qualify, and onboard suppliers capable of supporting radar defense and government program requirementsNegotiate pricing, lead times, and terms within startup constraints and delegated authorityMonitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions as neededDevelop alternate sourcing and risk mitigation strategiesCost, Schedule & Risk ManagementAnalyze material costs and identify cost control and cost-reduction opportunitiesBalance schedule, cost, and quality in a fast-paced development environmentProactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plansSupport make/buy decisions and scalability planningSystems & Process DevelopmentImplement and improve procurement and planning processes as the company scalesSupport ERP/MRP system implementation, configuration, and data integrityDevelop tracking and reporting tools for management visibilityEstablish key supply chain metrics and performance indicatorsWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleProcurement processes are compliant, scalable, and audit-readySuppliers are qualified, reliable, and aligned with organizational needsLong lead items are planned and ordered without impacting schedulesThe supply chain is prepared to confidently pursue and execute government contractsWhy Join UsOpportunity to build the supply chain foundation for a growing teamHigh visibility and direct impact on company strategy and executionCollaborative, fast-moving environment with real ownership and autonomyMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5 - 7+ years of supply chain, procurement, or material planning experience in an aerospace and/or defense industryDemonstrated experience working with government-defined contracts and FAR/DFARS/ITAR cybersecurity (CMMC), AS9100 standards, proactively mitigating compliance risk requirementsExperience managing long lead-time, high-complexity radar defense componentsStrong understanding of supplier qualification and contract flow-downsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systemsPreferred Requirements:Experience supporting early-stage organizationsFamiliarity with ITAR and export-controlled environmentsExperience supporting proposal development (RFPs, RFQs, cost estimates)CPSM, CPIM, or similar supply chain certificationWhy CHAOS?Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 100% paid for by the companyAdditional benefits401k (+ 50% company match up to 6% of pay), FSA, HSA, life insurance, and moreOur Perks: Free daily lunch, 'No meeting Fridays', unlimited PTO, casual dress codeCompensation Components: Competitive base salaries, generous pre-IPO stock option grants, relocation assistance, and (coming soon!) annual bonusesTeam Growth: 200 employees and counting across 5 global officesSalary Range: $100,000 - $130,000The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
