Actual pay may vary based on specific hours worked and employment status (e.g., part-time).Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Position OverviewSalary Range: $529,127.00 - $1,210,367.00We are currently looking for a Hand Surgeon to deliver thorough evaluations, both surgical and non-surgical treatments, and ongoing care for patients with conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and upper extremity nerve structures. This position involves outpatient clinic duties, inpatient consultations, emergency call responsibilities, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-focused care.Opportunity Details:Assess and treat a wide range of hand and upper extremity issues, including traumatic injuries, degenerative diseases, congenital defects, nerve disorders, and soft-tissue conditions.Conduct surgical procedures such as fracture fixation, tendon and nerve repairs, arthroplasty, reconstructive surgeries, microvascular operations, and arthroscopy.Administer non-surgical treatments when suitable (e.g., injections, splinting, therapy referrals, conservative management).Evaluate patients in the outpatient clinic and oversee their follow-up care.Provide consultations for inpatients and evaluate cases in the emergency department related to hand and upper extremity issues.Participate in a shared call rotation for hand and upper extremity emergencies.Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care providers, occupational/hand therapists, radiologists, and hospital personnel.Clearly communicate treatment plans to patients, their families, and referring physicians.Accurately document clinical interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR).Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and practice guidelines.Engage in quality improvement projects, morbidity and mortality meetings, and peer reviews as necessary.Ensure compliance with evidence-based practices and clinical protocols.Provide educational support to residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers as appropriate.Participate in continuing medical education and maintain board certification.Attend departmental meetings, committees, and other assigned administrative duties.Contribute to the development of new clinical programs, care pathways, or initiatives for service line expansion.Qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).Completion of an accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery.Completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship.Licensure & Certification:Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery.Active state medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hand Surgery (or eligibility to obtain).Current DEA & CDS registration.Experience:Fellowship-trained hand surgeon; both new graduates and seasoned surgeons are encouraged to apply.Skills:Expertise in hand and upper extremity surgical techniques, including microsurgery (if applicable).Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making capabilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.Working Conditions:Hospital, clinic, and operating room settings.Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and standard surgical risks.Assigned call responsibilities.Benefits:Medical PlanPrescription drug coverage & In-House Employee PharmacyDental PlanVision PlanFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Healthcare FSADependent Care FSARetirement Savings and Investment PlanBasic Group Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) InsuranceSupplemental Group Term Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment InsuranceDisability Benefits – Long Term Disability (LTD)Disability Benefits – Short Term Disability (STD)Employee Assistance ProgramCommuter TransitCommuter ParkingSupplemental Life InsuranceVoluntary Life SpouseVoluntary Life EmployeeVoluntary Life ChildVoluntary Legal ServicesVoluntary Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity InsuranceVoluntary Identity Theft InsuranceVoluntary Pet InsuranceContinuing Medical Education (CME)Paid Time-Off ProgramThe salary range provided is a good faith estimate of the potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful candidate at the time of this job posting and is subject to change.
