Manufacturing Engineer

My client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for advanced diesel exhaust aftertreatment products. This role will play a key part in new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost targets are achieved. DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer are: Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new and existing productsManage the full lifecycle of new product introduction (NPI), ensuring timely and successful product launchesCollaborate with suppliers to support tooling, fixtures, and equipment design and procurement. Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards, production capacity, and cost objectives. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product qualityProvide hands-on engineering support to production, including troubleshooting and process optimizationPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Production teams to align manufacturing capabilities with business needsSupport internal and external audits, testing, and validation efforts. ProfileThe successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment. Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD toolsBackground in automotive, emissions systems, or industrial manufacturing preferredStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, ideally including sheet metal, welding, CNC machining, or similarProven ability to work in a hands-on environment with a strong shop floor presenceExperience supporting new product introductions.
