Myers Academy (FMYA) is located in Fort Myers, Florida. We are a moderate risk, all-female program, contracted through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which offers comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services. ROP-benefits-and-perks-2  What you will do: The Licensed Therapist in the Rite of Passage program is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing case plans and treatment programs based on the needs of each student and the requirements of the placing agency. They provide individual, group, family, and case management services while ensuring the program meets therapeutic goals. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Licensed Therapist also supervises group living staff, ensuring proper support for students. They maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the program's ongoing development. To be considered you should: Possess a MA, MS or MSW. Licensed LMSW, LMFT, or LMHC. Prior Case Management experience required including three years’ experience with juveniles. The therapist will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to youth, including individual and group counseling. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing treatment plans, conducting assessments, facilitating therapeutic activities, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address client needs, and maintaining accurate and thorough documentation for all clinical activities.QualificationsMust hold a valid Florida license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.Experience in therapy, including individual and group counseling, and creating treatment plans.Strong skills in conducting mental health assessments and facilitating therapeutic interventions.Proficiency in documentation, case management, and maintaining confidentiality standards.Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to address and evaluate client needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with youth and families.Experience working with adolescence, trauma-informed care, or at-risk youth populations is a plus.Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
