This on-site contract role involves transforming legacy .NET Framework applications, web apps, and services to modern .NET 6+ platforms, focusing heavily on C# development. You will play a key role in rewriting ASP.NET WebForms into Blazor Server applications, converting WCF web services into RESTful APIs, and ensuring high-quality, reliable code through rigorous testing and collaboration. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge migrations and contribute to impactful software modernization projects in Montgomery, Alabama.Key Responsibilities:Participate in conversion and migration of web applications and web services from .NET Framework to .NET 6+ using C#Rewrite ASP.NET WebForms applications into Blazor Server applications with custom frameworks and librariesConvert WCF web services into RESTful APIs, leveraging the latest .NET technologiesFollow coding standards and best practices, performing functional testing to ensure code accuracy and reliabilityCollaborate in code reviews and team meetings to ensure project successDebug, optimize, and enhance application performance and scalabilityDevelop and execute SQL queries to interact with Microsoft SQL ServerTop Requirements:Proficiency in C# and .NET development, with at least 1 year of experience writing clean, maintainable, and efficient codeExperience migrating applications from legacy frameworks (.NET Framework, WebForms, WCF) to modern .NET (6+), including API and web app conversionsStrong understanding of SQL and ability to write complex SQL queries for Microsoft SQL ServerHigh School Diploma or equivalentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work on-site in Montgomery, Alabama, in a collaborative team environmentPreferred Skills:Experience with Blazor, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful API developmentKnowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologiesFamiliarity with custom frameworks and migration strategiesAbout Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
