Aerospace Quality Inspector

Aerospace Quality Inspector - (AS9100)Seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector who ensures compliance of flight-critical components by performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers). Verify adherence to drawings, GD&T, and AS9100 standards, documenting non-conformances and managing quarantine to ensure product quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesInspection Activities: Perform in-process, and final inspection of aerospace parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.AS9100 Compliance: Ensure all inspections adhere to AS9100 Quality Management Systems (QMS) and customer-specific regulations.Measurement & Testing: Utilize precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Keyence (optical measuring system) and coordinate measuring machines (CNC CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances.Documentation & Reporting: Perform and document First Article Inspections. Maintain meticulous records for traceability.Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and quarantine non-conforming parts (NCR) and assist in root cause analysis.Ensures compliance of flight-critical components by performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers).Verify adherence to drawings, GD&T, and AS9100 standards, documenting non-conformances and managing quarantine to ensure product quality and safety. Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 3-5+ years in aerospace quality control.Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.Tools: Proficient in operating CMM, optical comparators, and hand-held measuring tools.Knowledge: Deep understanding of AS9100D and FAA regulations.Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and capability to work independently or in a team environment (fast-paced).Education: High school diploma/GED required; technical certification (e.g., ASQ CQT) is highly preferred. Physical RequirementsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment, including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
