LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a rapidly growing, nationally recognized organization in the services industry. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of hands-on accounting expertise, leadership ability, and a process-oriented mindset, ideally gained within a large or multi-entity environment. This role offers the opportunity to supervise and mentor a small team, partner closely with operations leadership, and contribute to both daily accounting functions and long-term efficiency initiatives.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide supervision and guidance to a team of two Staff Accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy and completenessPerform month-end close activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, margin and expense analysis across multiple profit centersPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with internal controls and established accounting policies and proceduresIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operationsSupport preparation of schedules and documentation required for external auditsCollaborate with internal business partners, including Regional Managers and VPs of Operations, to provide financial insight and support decision-makingParticipate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by managementQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience; public or large company background strongly preferredCPA certification preferredExperience working in a multi-location or multi-entity environmentStrong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting principlesProven ability to improve accounting processes and drive efficienciesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday GL or other large ERP systems a plusExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and levels of managementHighly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, growing environmentStrong leadership presence with the ability to develop and motivate team members
