Certified Nurses Aide-Hospice (PRN To Full Time)
This job was posted by https://idahoworks.gov : For more information,please see: https://idahoworks.gov/jobs/2541949\*This position will start as a PRN employee and move into a full timeCNA position by September.****Job Summary**Augments the service of the licensed nurse by providing basic patientcare to the hospice patient.**Essential Job Functions** Assists in the care of the hospice patient including activities ofdaily living (ADL\'s) such as, but not limited to, personal hygieneand grooming, bathing, feeding, repositioning, toileting, transfersand ambulation; household services essential to promote a clean,safe environment. Accountable for reporting and recording tasks performed as well asany noticed change in the patient\'s condition. Must be able to relate well/work closely with patients, theirfamilies and coworkers. Obtain and record patient data such as, but not limited to, vitalsigns, catheter care, pain levels, report findings outsideparameters as noted on the assignment sheet or urgent/emergentconditions. Completes appropriate records as required. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss andcoordinate the patient plan of care. Requires creativity and ability to problem solve in the homeenvironment. Participate in required staff development activities and performancereviews. Attendance at meetings required, indoors 90% of the time. Position requires access to highly confidential information. Performs other duties as assigned. **Minimum Requirements:** High school graduate preferred. Completion of state approved nursing assistant trainingprogram/current Board of Registry status required. Completed and cleared Idaho state background check. Current BLS certification. A minimum of 12 hours of hospice-specific training annually isrequired to continue employment in hospice department.**Skills/Competencies** Able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, use goodjudgement in the delivery of patient care and communicateeffectively with patients, family members, care team members andproviders.Apply today www.syringahospital.org
