Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the 3-North Medical Telemetry Unit.Hours/Shift: Full-time, 36-hours/week, DaysDepartment/Position Overview: 3 North is a Medical Telemetry Unit located on the third floor of SAMC. This unit has 24 beds. This unit most often treats patients in need of medical telemetry, observation, cardiac monitoring and treatment for low-risk chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure.Education* Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing* Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSNCertification/Licensure* Registered nursing License (Required)* BLS required within 90 days of hireExperience* 18-months of RN experience is requiredRN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff.
