Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Our firm is growing, and we're looking for an empathic, experienced Personal Injury attorney to help clients pursue justice and secure fair compensation for their injuries. In this role, you will manage both pre-litigation and litigation matters, supported by a team of highly skilled legal professionals. If this sounds like you, apply today!Responsibilities:Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretaryReview, modify, and draft motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documentsConverse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather informationAppear as legal counsel on the clients' behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigationGather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case and conduct legal research on case law and premises liabilityManage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or trialDevelop and execute case strategies designed to maximize client recoveryRegularly consult with clients, adjusters, experts, and other parties as needed to effectively move cases forward to settlementDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demandsConduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances (virtual and in-person)Argue motions and represent clients at hearings, mediations, and court appearancesAnalyze case-specific legal issues and documentation (e.g., insurance policies, lien language, settlement releases)Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clientsCollaborate closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case progressionQualifications:Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vitalExcellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desiredA bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree is required3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is neededMust be computer proficientLicensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the Colorado Bar Association3-5 years of experience representing clients in a law firmPrior litigation experience (personal injury preferred)Trial experience is a plusMedical Malpractice experience is a plusStrong motion practice, research, and writing skillsExperience taking or defending depositions preferredAbility to independently manage a Pre-Litigation/Litigation caseloadAbout Company:Why Join Us?The work we do matters.
