HGA Project Engineer - Shreveport, LA (On-Site Refinery)HGA is seeking a Project Engineer to support operations in Shreveport, Louisiana.This Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing industrial capital projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations are achieved. The role will support our refinery client on-site and work closely with contractors, engineering teams, and facility leadership to deliver projects efficiently and safely.Key Responsibilities• Plan, execute, and manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and progress reports.• Coordinate daily with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and construction milestones.• Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure strict adherence to refinery safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.• Lead and supervise project team members and contractors, ensuring expectations, roles, and deliverables are clear.• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues proactively, and implement corrective actions.• Prepare and manage change orders, project documentation, status reports, and cost forecasts.• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client expectations, and contractual requirements.• Participate in reviews, site walkdowns, and constructability planning.• Exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding significant project decisions.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.• 5-10+ years of construction management or project engineering experience required.• Experience working in refineries, petrochemical, or specialty chemical facilities strongly preferred.• Demonstrated experience managing industrial capital projects from planning through execution.• Strong understanding of safety practices, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance.• Proven ability to coordinate contractors, manage multiple priorities, and drive accountability.• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.• Must live within daily commuting distance of Northern Louisiana.Additional Information• Full-time, on-site role supporting an operating refinery environment.• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.• Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with experience.HGA is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
