This role is highly hands-on and focused on a wipe-and-reload onboarding strategy using MECM task sequences, custom backup and recovery scripting, and automated registration into Intune. The Intune SME will play a critical role in application development, deployment engineering, automation, and ensuring a smooth transition for end users at scale.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute a large-scale device onboarding effort to Microsoft Intune.Design, maintain, and optimize wipe-and-reload processes using MECM task sequences integrated with Intune enrollment.Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts used for device backup, user data recovery, and automated Intune registration.Engineer and migrate applications from MECM to Intune, including application packaging, detection rules, and dependency management.Import, test, and deploy enterprise applications within Intune while ensuring minimal user disruption.Configure and manage Intune enrollment profiles, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and security baselines.Provide SME-level support during migration waves, cutovers, and post-migration stabilization.Troubleshoot complex enrollment, application deployment, and policy application issues across Windows devices.Develop detailed technical documentation, migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and operational guides.Collaborate closely with engineering, security, networking, and service desk teams to ensure project success.Track progress, risks, and issues associated with mass device onboarding efforts.Ensure scalability, reliability, and repeatability of onboarding processes.QualificationsTop Secret Clearance10+ years of hand-on Windows adminsitration/engineering experience - ideally in the federal theaterMinimum of 5 years of enterprise endpoint management experience, with deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft IntuneBS or equivalent years of experienceCompTIA Security + or equivalent IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification - requiredExperience with the DevSecOps software delivery model and full understanding of Agile methodology. CMMI, ITIL - preferredMicrosoft certifications such as MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator Associate), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), or equivalent - preferredKnowledge and Experience:Understanding of DoD, DISA cybersecurity requirementsProven experience executing large-scale device migrations to IntuneStrong experience with MECM/MCM (SCCM), including task sequences, collections, application deployments, and co-managementAdvanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation, backup/recovery, and troubleshootingExtensive experience with Intune application lifecycle management (applications, packaging, detection logic, dependencies)Strong knowledge of Windows 11 deployment, imaging, and provisioning workflowsAbility to troubleshoot complex migration and enrollment issues in high-volume environmentsPreferred Skills:Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detailAbility to operate effectively under tight timelines and high-volume workloadsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical processes to non-technical stakeholdersSelf-directed, proactive, and comfortable owning critical migration componentsPosted Min Pay RateUSD $165,000.00/Yr.Posted Max Pay RateUSD $190,000.00/Yr.Salary DisclosureActual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
