Sourdough Fuel Cashier - Van Horn A cashier is responsible for providing great customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performs cash register operations and safeguarding PSI Sourdough Fuel assets according to established procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include operating cash registers when receiving payment for cash, credit/debit cards or other; issuing receipts, and processing change/refunds/credits. Count money in cash drawer at the beginning/end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and has adequate change. Maintain clean and orderly check out areas and other general cleaning duties such as sweeping/mopping floors, emptying trash cans and other. Stock shelves with merchandise, and mark prices on shelves and items. Assist/ensure that customers receive outstanding service by providing friendly environment which includes greeting customers, maintaining outstanding standards, and providing solid product knowledge. Operate/monitor gas pump dispensers; including dispensing propane safely using established guidelines. Cash register experience preferred. Language skills include the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers. Mathematical skills include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning ability includes the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical demands include the ability to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to adjust focus. Work environment is in a busy office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
