We’re looking for a highly creative Video Editor / Motion Designer to join our team full-time in the San Francisco Bay Area.This role is ideal for someone who lives at the intersection of storytelling, design, rhythm, and technology — someone who can craft polished edits, build compelling motion graphics, and bring strong creative instincts to every stage of post-production.What You’ll DoEdit commercial, branded, documentary, and social-first video contentDesign and animate motion graphics, title sequences, explainers, and visual systemsCollaborate with directors, producers, and creatives to shape narrative and pacingBuild clean, modern edits with strong music sensibility and visual storytelling instinctsHandle color prep, sound mix prep, asset organization, and finishing workflowsCreate cutdowns and alternate formats optimized for social platformsContribute to creative development, references, treatments, and visual explorationManage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high production standardsHelp evolve Recreation’s visual style and post-production workflowWhat We’re Looking For3–7+ years of professional editing and motion design experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating both editorial storytelling and motion design workAdvanced proficiency in:Adobe Premiere ProAfter EffectsPhotoshop & IllustratorDaVinci ResolveExperience with a plus:Cinema 4D and/or BlenderFrame.io workflowsSocial content formatting and deliveryStrong understanding of pacing, typography, composition, sound design, and contemporary visual cultureAbility to take creative direction while also contributing original ideasDetail-oriented with strong organizational and file management skillsComfortable working in fast-paced production environmentsBay Area-based and available for in-person collaboration, shoots, and edit sessionsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth benefitsPaid time offCreative growth opportunitiesAccess to high-end production equipment and projectsAbout RecreationWe’re a team of strategists, filmmakers, designers, and storytellers focused on building brands that connect through clarity, emotion, and craft.
