HBITS: HBITS-07-14761NYS DOH - Expert, Software Analyst30 month contractInterview: In-person--- Project Description ---The Software Analyst will work under the guidance of Testing Lead forthe Continuing Medicaid Eligibility Modernization Program to supportthe implementation of this high-profile Department of Health (DOH)initiative in fast-paced iterations. Within the SDLC, the Software Analystwill take an active role in the business and technical aspects of testingand validating the design and solution developed to meet businessneeds, creating test plans and test cases, identifying functional defects,performing regression testing, assisting with UAT, and creating otherquality assurance documents for the project.--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---1. Automating test scripts creation/executions.2. Test data set creation.3. Writing and executing Test Cases.4. Researching, resolving, and testing production/UAT defects.5. Participating in all phases of the Systems development life cycleincluding Application Testing (Unit, Functional, Integration, UserAcceptance Testing) and Performance Testing.6. Review Requirement documents.7. Perform Solution Exploration.8. Perform User Acceptance Testing.9. Perform Regression Testing.Software AnalystStudies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability. Expert 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.• 60 months of experience with tools such as Jira, Jira-related plug-ins orApplication Lifecycle Management/Quality Center as the defect tracking andtest planning tools.• 60 months of experience with configuring automated testing using tools suchas Selenium or Katalon Studio or related tools.• 36 months of experience leading and managing functional test planning andtest execution activities with a focus on Health and Human Service domain.• Bachelor's Degree with coursework in Information Technology or relatedfields• 84 months of experience working on complex projects with two (2) or moreyears in a leadership role as a Testing Analyst that includes preparingdocumentation, reviews, and approvals of test results from key stakeholdersusing industry standard methods.• 84 months experience of client focused quality assurance managing testingacross multiple high-profile projects, with complex functional domains, withina matrix organization.• 60 months of experience developing test plans, test cases, tracking defectsand developing automated tests, preferably in a software developmentenvironment.Statement for MVPMVP Consulting Plus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
