Cloud Operations Engineer (req# 1353)

OverviewAs a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for working in a team-based environment supporting our customers running workloads in the public cloud. You will work in conjunction with your team to foster heightened customer experience and drive technical innovation in the managed services practice.Your ImpactThe Essential Functions Of This Position IncludeDeployment, automation, management, and maintenance of Azure production environmentsEnsuring availability, performance, security, governance and scalability of Azure production systems via various monitoring, logging, and other toolsetsManagement of creation, release, and configuration of production systemsSystem troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.Validation of new customer deployments.Deployment in conjunction with best practice design and governance.Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.Deployment and configuration of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on Azure platform.Maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.Participate regularly as a primary resource in an on-call rotation.Qualifications2+ years of experience in deploying and supporting of Azure environments3+ years of experience in deploying and supporting complex datacenter and/or public cloud environmentsAzure Certified DevOps Engineer Expert certification or other Azure related certification preferredStrong Written and Verbal Communication SkillsExperience being with customer facing consulting or support roles is a plusAzure experience with multiple IaaS and PaaS servicesAbility to troubleshoot complex, interdisciplinary public cloud technical issuesAbility to work in a diverse and geographically dispersed team environment with multiple engineering resources of varying skillsets and responsibilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a wide range of Customers across different verticalsExperience in code development in at least one high-level programming languageCloud networking experience with services such as VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Azure vWAN, Azure App Gateway, Azure Load Balancer, FrontDoor, and Traffic ManagerExperience working in a complex CI/CD pipeline to include tools such as Azure DevOpsInfrastructure as Code (IaC) skillsets to include Azure Bicep, ARM Templates and/or other toolsets such as TerraformKnowledge of operating system administration to include Linux and WindowsMicrosoft technologies to include Active Directory, SQL, Patch Management, Certificate ServicesSIEM technologies to include Microsoft Sentinel and other Enterprise SIEMs such as SplunkCloud Identity to include Active Directory and Azure Active DirectoryCloud Security services to include Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Azure Firewall, Azure WAFKubernetes/Container security solutions such as Aqua and Palo Alto Prisma CloudKnowledge of business continuity practices to include multi-region Disaster Recovery and BackupKubernetes systems administrationExperience with application load testing and quality assurance activities2+ years of experience in deploying and supporting of Azure environments3+ years of experience in deploying and supporting complex datacenter and/or public cloud environmentsAzure Certified DevOps Engineer Expert certification or other Azure related certification preferredPosition SpecificsThe initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $150,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
