This is not a repetitive, assembly-line job. Our technicians work on a wide variety of systems and projects, from residential and agricultural installs to complex commercial and integrated systems. Position Overview The Security Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, testing, servicing, and documentation of security systems. Technicians are expected to work efficiently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of projects from start to finish while upholding Foss Security’s core values of Safety, Reliability, Customer Experience, and Professionalism. Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain security systems including: Camera systems (IP & analog) Alarm systems and sensors Access control systems Run, terminate, label, and dress low-voltage cabling Mount, aim, program, and test devices per manufacturer and company standards Troubleshoot system issues and resolve problems efficiently Verify job scope, equipment, and materials before and during each project Maintain clean, professional installations and job sites Train customers on proper system use and functionality Accurately document work performed, parts used, and next steps Communicate effectively with sales, project management, and other technicians Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working order Represent Foss Security professionally in appearance, conduct, and communication Daily Expectations Review job scope and project notes before arriving on-site Verify required equipment and materials before leaving the shop Work steadily, safely, and efficiently throughout the day Complete required job documentation and daily reporting Communicate progress, needs, and next steps clearly Take ownership of project completion and customer experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Retirement plan Tools provided Work Location: In person
