Job title: Business Analyst / Technology Analyst (BA/TA) – Hedge Fund Domain (Location: New York City (Onsite – 5 days/week)Full time and Contract both option availableWe are actively hiring an experienced Business Analyst / Technology Analyst (BA/TA) for our client in New York City, supporting portfolio management and investment platform initiatives (Finbourne).This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, working closely with stakeholders in hedge fund / private equity environments.🧠 Key Requirements (Must Have)- 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis / Technology Analysis roles- Strong experience in Hedge Fund / Private Equity domain (MANDATORY)- Deep understanding of portfolio management systems & investment workflows- Strong hands-on experience with SQL (very important)- Experience working with financial data including:- Trades, Positions, P&L, Pricing, Reconciliation- Experience with data integrations, APIs, and data mapping- Ability to work closely with both business stakeholders & engineering teams🚀 What You’ll Do- Gather and analyze business & technical requirements across investment teams- Translate requirements into user stories, functional specs, and data mappings- Work on portfolio management platform implementations (Finbourne preferred)- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams for delivery- Support data integrations across OMS, accounting, and downstream systems- Drive UAT, validation, and ensure high-quality releases🎓 Preferred Qualifications- MBA in Finance or relevant field- Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence- Exposure to Agile / SAFe environments
