Forklift DriverWe are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to join our team. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role requires flexibility in work schedule to accommodate seasonal and business needs. Successful candidates will be involved in the safe and efficient operation of forklifts within a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesOperate the forklift professionally and accident-free, while maintaining regular inspections. Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift. Keep accurate records of material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Assist with manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as inventory sampling and cleaning. Ensure the warehouse remains clean and tidy. During seed delivery and return seasons, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages. Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures as necessary. Essential SkillsAbility to communicate clearly and respectfully with others. Self-starter with a high focus on safety and quality. Experience with forklift driving and warehouse operations is highly preferred. Ability to count accurately and read scales. Capability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail. Forklift driving experience and prior certification are preferred. Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift. Additional Skills & QualificationsOne year of forklift experience is preferred. One year of warehouse experience is preferred. Prior forklift certification is preferred. Mechanical ability or aptitude is helpful. Experience or knowledge of shift work expectations is beneficial. Work EnvironmentThe work schedule includes 40 hours per week, with possible overtime over 6 days. Flexibility is required for all shifts during training, after which a specific shift will be assigned. Shifts include 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM), and occasional split shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM). Employees must wear safety toe work shoes or boots, long pants, and shirts covering the shoulders. The workplace is smoke-free, and adherence to safety policies, including seatbelt and electronic device usage, is required. Reliable transportation to the site is necessary, and parking is available in designated areas only. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
