Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Medicaid Cost Reporting and Financial Compliance Accountant III based in Jackson, GA, with opportunities for remote work. In this role, you will oversee Medicaid cost reporting compliance within the district, analyze financial documentation, and ensure adherence to government regulations. Core responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial reports, performing audits, and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure standard accounting procedures are followed. You will also provide guidance on financial compliance matters and support financial planning and analysis initiatives. Qualifications Proficiency in Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Cost ReportingExperience in Auditing, Compliance, and Regulatory StandardsProficiency in Accounting Software, Data Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting SystemsStrong skills in Multitasking, Organization, and Attention to DetailExcellent Communication Skills for Reporting and Cross-functional CollaborationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification or equivalent preferredUnderstanding of Medicaid policies and procedures is a plusPrior experience in public sector finance or education is advantageous
