2026 Shallow Water Attraction Lifeguard (15 y/o)

Overview:As a Shallow Water Attraction Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests in shallow water attractions, such as slide dispatch, slide run-outs, kiddie pools, and splash zones. You will provide vigilant supervision, enforce safety rules, and respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies. Your role is critical in maintaining a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.This is a seasonal position at Hurricane Harbor Phoenix in Phoenix AZ. It features a competitive hourly rate of $15.50, along with perks such as:Free entry to any Six Flags Park for all employeesAdditional complimentary tickets for friends & familyFlexible schedulingWeekly pay options availableIncrease your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.Responsibilities:Monitor guests in shallow water attractions to ensure compliance with safety rules and prevent accidentsRemain alert and focused while observing water activities to identify any potential risks or emergenciesRespond promptly and effectively to water rescues, providing assistance and first aid as necessaryEnsure safety equipment (such as life jackets and flotation devices) is in good condition and easily accessible to guestsAssist in maintaining a clean and safe pool area, including removing debris and checking water qualityCommunicate effectively with team members and guests to ensure everyone's safetyEducate guests on pool safety rules and proper behavior in the waterComplete incident reports and other required documentationPerform regular safety checks on the pool area to ensure all safety protocols are being followedWork with fellow lifeguards and management to ensure the attraction is running smoothly and safelyQualifications:Must be at least 15 years of age or olderMust be reliable, responsible, xevrcyc and safety-consciousStrong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guestsAbility to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situationsMust be able to stand or sit for extended periodsMust be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsPrevious lifeguard or pool experience is a plus but not requiredCertification in CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding (Paid Training!!)Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
