Design Specialist

We're hiring! Looking for two Design Specialists to join our Facilities Planning & Design team that are committed to creative problem solving and working with several stakeholders to continue to improve our beautiful schools in the District!ResponsibilitiesDevelop and revise the Education Specifications that are applied to projects portfolio-wide to standardize design elementsProvide a critical design lens to review multiple projects at each design milestoneAttend FF&E reviewsWork with Project Coordinators, Specialists, and Design-Build Teams to enhance and improve the design of projects using creative problem solvingEngage with several stakeholders and outside agencies on designQualificationsDesign and/or construction backgroundExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCritical thinking and problem solvingWorks well in team environment
