This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, education, and research within the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance of the department, including the development and support of faculty, staff, and learners. Strong relationships with hospital leadership, other clinical departments, and key community stakeholders are essential. The role also involves a key focus on programmatic growth, particularly in expanding the ambulatory footprint and initiating new clinical service lines.The ideal candidate for the Regional Chair position will be a collaborative leader and an accomplished clinician with a background in an academic medical center or large healthcare system. Operational and strategic expertise in areas such as GME support, program development, clinical quality, and financial management is required. The candidate must be ABIM certified and eligible for West Virginia medical licensure.
