Launch Manager

*Must Have Automotive Manufacturing Experience*LAUNCH MANAGER SUMMARY:The primary function and responsibility of the Launch Manager, is to assure the plant is prepared to launch new products, mid cycle enhancement, or another major projects as identified by the Plant Manager. LAUNCH MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for interface with Program Management to assure all Phase requirements are completed and provided in the proper formers to the respective sourcesResponsible for coordinating the activities of the Plant Launch Team to assure plant systems equipment, tracking programs are completed on time and in compliance with company systemsResponsible for "Red Flag" process when launch is missing Key Quality or Timing ElementsResponsible for all launch activity to ensure support departments stay in focus of launch objectivesResponsible for providing accurate and timely reports of launch activity to upper managementPrepared to coordinate multiple launches simultaneouslySchedules and plans of pre-production parts to the customerCommunication of program requirements to all related individualsAddresses designated facility capabilities and ensures issues/concerns are resolved prior to critical datesSupports TS16949 Business SystemsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree5-10 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environmentPrevious program management or Launch experienceGeneral knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering, and quality systemsGeneral knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data such as product income statements, return on investment analysis, net-present value analysisAbility to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that dataStrong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness skillsStrong presentation skillsStrong attention to detail and follow-through skillsSolid knowledge/experience of Operations Manager role
