Salary (from)112,745.88Salary (to)156,828.10DescriptionThe Alexandria Police Department is seeking an experienced and strategic IT Division Chief to lead its Technology Services Division (TSD). This executive-level position is responsible for overseeing the Department's technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and data operations in support of a 24/7 public safety environment.The Division Chief serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and plays a critical role in ensuring system reliability, cybersecurity, compliance, and the effective use of technology to support police operations and organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all IT operations, including infrastructure, enterprise systems, and data servicesOversee mission-critical systems such as Records Management Systems (RMS), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), mobile computing, and data platformsAdvise executive leadership on IT strategy, system risks, and technology initiativesEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including CJIS and other public safety standardsManage IT budgets, contracts, and major technology projects and implementationsCoordinate with City IT, vendors, and regional partners on shared systems and servicesLead and develop a diverse team of technical and analytical staffRequirementsMinimum: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, public administration, or a related field; and significant progressively responsible experience in information technology, including supervisory or leadership experience.
